Follow your dreams, work hard, practice and persevere. Make sure you eat a variety of foods, get plenty of exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle. — Sasha Cohen
I came from a family of disciplined, hard workers. As a child, if I wanted something, I had to earn it. The saying in my parent’s house was, “money doesn’t grow on trees, nor does it fall from the sky, someone has to put in the work”. So, I started young in retail sales. I put myself through college and then university. I actually learned the ins and outs of owning my first business at the age of 19, that was a rollercoaster, but the best business class that I ever had. I have worked for corporations and for start-ups; both have been quite rewarding and have added considerably to my skills in management, publishing, digital marketing, sales and client relations.
Knowledge and growth have been at the forefront of my learning experience, not hesitating to try different avenues and to expand my abilities in order to be the best asset to the clients, the company that I work for, or in a new business venture of my own.
Personally, eating well and living a healthy lifestyle is crucial to my performance at work, and just feeling good about who I am and what I do. Hiking, pilates and meditation clears my mind and regenerates my energy and stamina for the next day. Feeding my body and soul is equally as important as nourishing my mind, they work in conjunction with each other.
